Yvonne Petrasovits has been the Executive Director of Doorways NWFL since November 2015. Doorways, also known as the Homeless and Hunger Coalition of NWFL is the Continuum of Care Lead Agency for NWFL and works to prevent and end homelessness in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington Counties. Doorways operates the Community Recovery/Resource Center on behalf of Bay County Florida, which was the first Community Recovery Center in the Continental United States at its inception.

Previously she was president of the READ Alliance which recruits, trains and employs inner-city teens in New York City to provide one-to-one, research-based reading instruction to first grade and kindergarten children. Prior to joining READ, Ms. Petrasovits was a Managing Director of Aetos Capital, served in the United States Army as an Imagery Analyst and Mission Planner in the area of Military Intelligence, and, was an adjunct professor at the Hagan School of Business at Iona College, where she developed and taught classes in Nonprofit Management as well as Entrepreneurship.

She currently serves on the Board of Chemical Addiction and Recovery Effort (CARE), is a member of the FACT (Florida Assertive Community Treatment) Advisory Board, a member of the Circuit 14 Housing Task Force, a member of the Bay County Unmet Needs Committee, member of the Circuit 14 Alliance, serves as Vice-Chairman of Rebuild Bay County, Inc. (Long Term Disaster Recovery Organization) and is President elect of the Board of Directors for Kiwanis of Panama City. Finally, Ms. Petrasovits was selected as one of 10 Fellows for the 2020 Global Giving International Disaster Fellowship.

Ms. Petrasovits graduated from Iona College, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in business; she earned a Master’s of business administration from Sacred Heart University.
