Rebuilding hope, hearts, and homes in Bay County.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael in October 2018, a group of dedicated community leaders came together under the guidance of Bay County Emergency Management. Recognizing the immense need for coordinated recovery efforts, Rebuild Bay County, Inc. was officially established in March 2019 as Bay County’s long-term disaster recovery organization.
Originally serving as an umbrella for non-profits and faith-based organizations, we’ve been at the forefront of aiding residents in all aspects of recovery. Faced with subsequent challenges like COVID-19, Hurricane Sally, the Chipola Wildfires, and several tornadoes, our commitment to the community has only strengthened.
Our expanded services now include:
- Comprehensive case management
- Home repairs
- Bill payment assistance
- Relocation and moving support
- Community clean-up initiatives
- Food security programs
Our Mission: To create access to critical resources, education, and advocacy to build resilient communities.
Our Vision: A community capable of withstanding disasters of any kind.
At Rebuild Bay County, we understand that while the needs are great, so are the resources. Our role is to bridge the gap, making it easier for residents to access the help they need. We’re here to listen, to understand, and to work alongside you in charting a path toward recovery.
Our Promise: To stand with you every step of the way as we rebuild not just structures, but the very fabric of our community.
